Chapter 0- God is watching

[Prologue] God is Watching.

[Blade (null-Raid)] A humanoid monster with hands and feet made of blades. The number of blades increases with the number of adversaries. There’s no limit to the number of blades, and nothing can escape being cut. The metal composing the blades differs for each individual. Theoretically, it’s impossible to subdue.

I used to believe in God, pressured by my parents. It wasn’t a belief that came from my heart, so even as time passed, I wasn’t as zealous as my parents, but I was considered diligent enough. My father would always tell me until he was hoarse:

“God is always watching us.”

Every time, I’d parrot back that I believed, but in my heart, I scoffed.

‘Then God must be a huge pervert.’

Because He unleashed horrible monsters upon this world and just watched idly as we were helplessly devoured.

Monster (怪物). A strangely shaped creature.

Even before I was born, monsters appeared without any warning, indiscriminately destroying human civilization, property, and lives. And now we’ve reached this point.

What did this so-called God do then?

Nothing.

He didn’t lift a finger, even when hundreds of thousands, tens of millions, were massacred. He even ignored the pleas of believers begging for their lives.

However,

“God is always watching you…”

My father remained steadfast until his last breath, as the flame of his life flickered out. How could he, after losing his wife, daughter, and even himself to monsters?

At that moment, even I couldn’t hold back.

“There’s no such thing as God in this world!”

If there were, He’d be a devil!

…Looking back, it was truly childish behavior. It’s not that I regret not letting him pass in peace.

Ten years after that nightmare-like day.

Note: when searching for the meaning of 怪物 I got beast as a tl and as for null raid it was originally 不-Raid, but i changed it to the manhwa version since that’s what am familiar. anyway I hope we both enjoy this before gangsters come on my door to pull the plug hehe
